About us and the Greyhound Country Inn

Wayne and Tina had the great pleasure of taking on The Greyhound Inn in February 2014, since then they have refurbished all 10 guest rooms including new en-suite bathrooms, refurbished the exterior including a new colour scheme, new signage, and adorned with beautiful year-round flowers in our hanging baskets, a new patio area, a fabulous children’s play area and climbing frame, and now we have added an amazing outside Bar and eating area with all plants and lights.

They have built a busy year-round trade serving our regulars and locals with great local beers and great food,

Our Head Chef Damien Spinks joined us in summer 2018, he found his feet after spending 11 years training and running the kitchen at the Globe Inn at Topsham, his speciality is classical cuisine with his own twist with favourites including belly pork and duck breast,  his enthusiasm and talent show in the amazing specials he creates.

Such is the reputation of the good food at The Greyhound that people travel miles to enjoy the experience

Dogs & their well-behaved owners are more than welcome in the bar area. Their own dog, Patsy keeps a secret stash of gravy bones behind the bar for their four-legged visiting friends.

Large garden for those sunny days and fantastic Play area for Children or sit on the sofa’s next to a roaring log fire in those winter nights.
